Carnelian Sunstone Necklace
It has been speculated that the Vikings used sunstone's light-polarizing property to tell the direction of the sun on cloudy days, for navigational purposes. A decorative sterling silver bail secures a yummy carnelian nugget, garnished with a gold-colored pearl. Its cascading silver chains with radiant sunstone and carnelian briolettes are accentuated by tiny turquoise beads. Tiny turquoise beads also highlight the larger lobster clasp, securing this solid sterling silver chain. Approx. 16" with a decorative 3" silver extension chain.
The earrings (borrowed from "Tortoise" #AA0002) feature warm orange-hued carnelian drops, daisy-patterned sterling silver accent beads, a turquoise-blue-colored peruvian opal bead and tiny carnelian and red agate accent beads, joyfully dangling from sterling silver earwires.
